The Imperial Queens Park Hotel

The Imperial Queens Park Hotel, located on Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok, opened in 1992 as one of the city’s largest hotels, operated by the Imperial Hotel Group until its closure in 2014 for renovation and its subsequent reopening as the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park in 2016. Designed on a grand scale, the property features over 1,250 guest rooms and extensive leisure facilities, including swimming pools, a spa, a fitness centre, and six distinct restaurants. The main event spaces—most notably the large ballroom and other function rooms—are capable of accommodating up to 2,000 attendees in auditorium or banquet-style settings, making the hotel a prominent venue for conventions, major social events, and sporting events.

Professional boxing will be represented at The Imperial for the first time when the WBC light-flyweight title bout between Thammanoon Niyomtrong and Carlos Canizales, held in conjunction with the 63rd World Boxing Council (WBC) Annual Convention, takes place in December 2025.

The Imperial Queens Park Hotel has also been a frequent location for high-profile non-boxing events throughout its history. Its expansive ballrooms and function spaces have been used for international conventions, corporate conferences, government summits, and gala dinners. The hotel has hosted large gatherings, including major Indian movie industry parties, charity galas, fashion showcases, global brand launches, and business expos, attracting guests from around the world with its combination of central location, scale, and service. The venue’s versatile event facilities and reputation for hospitality have made it a key site for both international and domestic large-scale events in Bangkok.
