Fight Report

The unexpected happened as undefeated middleweight sensation Hamzah Sheeraz (21-0, 17 KOs) dismantled Tyler Denny (20-2-3, 1 KO) to claim the European middleweight title in a bout that barely lasted beyond the opening bell.

The contest, which promised to be a stern test for the rising star, turned into a showcase of Sheeraz's devastating punching power and clinical finishing ability. From the moment the first meaningful punch was thrown, it was clear that Sheeraz was operating on a different level.

The fight opened with Sheeraz landing a crisp left hook that sent Denny to the canvas within the first 20 seconds, setting the tone for what would be a nightmarish experience for the Midlands fighter. Denny, showing heart, managed to regain his feet, only to be met with an identical shot moments later. The opening round was nothing short of a horror show for Denny, who found himself overwhelmed by Sheeraz's relentless assault. Despite his best efforts to cover up and weather the storm, Denny was outgunned.

The second round offered no respite for the beleaguered fighter. Sheeraz, maintaining his dominance, caught Denny with a right hook as he attempted to pull away, signalling that the end was near. Any hopes of Denny lasting the distance were shattered when a combination of right and left hooks sent him crashing to the canvas once more.

Although Denny believed he could continue, referee Mark Bates saw enough and waved off the contest at 2:05 of the second round, much to the fallen fighter's protest. The victory added the European middleweight title to Sheeraz's growing collection and sent a seismic shock through the division. In his post-fight comments, a confident Sheeraz threw down the gauntlet to his rivals, declaring, "Any 160 names, let's have it." This statement of intent suggests that Sheeraz is not content with dominating at the European level and has his sights set on global recognition. With this emphatic victory, Hamzah Sheeraz has solidified his position as one of the most exciting prospects in the middleweight division. His combination of power, precision, and poise in the ring indicates that he may well be ready to challenge for world honours in the near future.

As the dust settles on this explosive encounter, the boxing world will be eagerly watching to see who steps up to face this rising star next.
