Dalton Smith Dominates With Unanimous Decison Win Over Billy Allington

In a successful defence of his British super-lightweight title, Dalton Smith dominated Billy Allington in a fight that took place last night at the Nottingham Arena. The bout was part of the undercard to Leigh Wood's defence of the WBA featherweight title against Mauricio Lara, and was exclusively broadcast live on DAZN.

Allington struggled to make an impact throughout the fight and was ultimately dropped by a powerful left hook from Smith in the ninth round. Smith was also given a warning for a low blow in the same round, but this did little to deter the champion from pushing forward. Despite a cut over his right eye, Smith was able to secure the win by unanimous decision, with the judges scoring the fight; Michael Alexander 119-108, Howard Foster 119-108, Kevin Parker 120-107.

With this victory, Smith moves to 14-0 with 10 quick wins. Smith showed that he was ultimately too strong and skilled for Allington as he successfully defended his title for the second time. Despite Allington's best efforts, he was unable to keep up with the champion, who showed once again why he is one of the most promising boxers in the UK.
