Stockton Arena

Stockton Arena, now known as Adventist Health Arena, opened its doors in December 2005 as a cornerstone of Stockton's downtown waterfront redevelopment. The venue features a seating capacity ranging from 8,600 to 12,000, depending on the event configuration, and includes 24 luxury suites, a private club level with 344 club seats, and a complete rigging and stage setup. Additionally, it boasts a 360-degree Uber Display LED board, an NHL regulation ice sheet measuring 85 by 200 feet, and 5,000 square feet of conference space, making it a versatile facility for various events.

In recent years, the arena has become a focal point for boxing, mainly due to the rise of Stockton native Gabriel "Gabe" Flores Jr. On March 16, 2024, Flores Jr. headlined a card at the venue, securing a split decision victory over Julian Rodarte to claim the World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental USA lightweight title. This event marked a significant moment for local boxing enthusiasts, as it showcased homegrown talent on a prominent stage.

The arena has also hosted other notable boxing events, such as the "Nightmare In The Arena" on October 28, 2023, in which Flores Jr. was featured in the main event. Stockton's boxing legacy dates back to the early 20th century. One of the city's earliest boxing stars was Charley "The Stockton Cyclone" Turner, an African American middleweight who claimed the coloured middleweight championship in the 1890s. Another notable figure is Alvaro "Yaqui" López, who, although born in Mexico, became closely associated with Stockton. López fought for world titles multiple times during the 1970s and early 1980s, becoming a beloved figure in the local boxing community.
