Lac Leamy Casino

The Casino du Lac-Leamy, formerly known as the Casino de Hull, is a government-operated casino located in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. It opened its doors on March 24, 1996, as part of a provincial initiative to generate revenue through gambling establishments. The casino is operated by Société des casinos du Québec, a subsidiary of Loto-Québec.

Situated on a former quarry site, the casino overlooks Lac de la Carrière, which features a prominent fountain visible from much of the old Hull sector during summer months. The facility is adjacent to Leamy Lake, from which it derives its current name.

The complex includes a 349-room Hilton hotel and an 1,100-seat theatre, which has become a significant music venue in the Outaouais region. The casino floor houses over 1,800 slot machines and more than 65 gaming tables offering various games such as roulette, blackjack, baccarat, craps, and Texas hold 'em poker.

In terms of sporting events, particularly boxing, the venue is set to host a match between Steve Claggett and Eduardo Estela on October 17, 2024. This event suggests that the casino has expanded its entertainment offerings to include combat sports.

As of 2016, the casino reported an annual profit of CA$244,679,000 for the government, employed over 1,400 people, and attracted more than 2.5 million visitors annually.
