Montana Love stops Ivan Baranchyk in seven rounds

Hometown boy Montana Love shocked former IBF world super-lightweight champion Ivan Baranchyk by way of a 7th round corner retirement after dropping the 28-year-old Russian with a superb left uppercut right at the end of the round. Baranchyk's cornerman Pedro Diaz was removing the tape from his charges hands as soon as he sat on his stool.

Baranchyk vs Love was part of Showtime's televised fights at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland Ohio. The bout was on the Jake Paul vs Tyrone Woodley undercard.

Love, a 26-year-old from Cleveland can now look forward to bigger and better fights. He is now 16-0-1 with 8 Ko's and his colourful past only adds to an already interesting back story.
