Mikaela Mayer cruises past Erica Anabella Farias in first title defence

WBO World Female Super-featherweight titleholder, Mikaela Mayer looked every part the champion in her unanimous points win over former two-weight world champion Erica Farias at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas on the Naoya Inoue vs Michael Dasmarinas undercard.

Colorado Springs’ Mayer, defended the title she won in a vacant title encounter against Poland's Ewa Brodnicka in her last outing. Brodnicka lost the title on the scales leaving Mayer fighting for a vacant title that only she could win.

It is easy to see how the popular Mayer could become a big star in female boxing which seems to be exploding in popularity the further it progresses.
