Michael McKinson runs out a clear winner on points against Przemyslaw Runowski

Portsmouth welterweight Michael McKinson boxed intelligently for 10 rounds and in the process won unanimously on the ringside judge's scorecards against Poland's Przemyslaw Runowski in the third and final instalment of Matchroom Fight Camp 2021 in Brentwood, Essex.

It's difficult to see where McKinson fits in the packed welterweight division, he has held world governing bodies regional titles including the WBO Global Welterweight belt he defended against Runowski, but never the British, Commonwealth, or European even though he is ranked number four in the world by the WBO.

With his win against Chris Kongo last time out, McKinson has shown he can raise his game when he faces the right level of opposition but he either needs a major domestic title or to start facing tested world-class contenders.
