Joseph Diaz vs Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov ends in a draw

Joseph Diaz and Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov battled to a majority decision draw in their vacant IBF World Super Featherweight Title fight at the Bubble at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Due to Diaz weighing in 3 1/2 lbs over the 130 lb super-featherweight limit, only Rakhimov could win the title so, this result was the best that Diaz could hope for as he will likely get the immediate rematch and a chance to become champion once again.

Judge  Robert Hoyle scored it for Diaz 115-113 but was overruled by two drawn cards from Fernando Villarreal and Zachary Young.
