Wladimir Klitschko successfully defended his IBF, WBO, WBA, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight titles with a commanding unanimous decision win over the previously undefeated Mariusz Wach on November 10, 2012, at the O2 World Arena in Hamburg, Germany. The judges scored the bout 119-109, 120-107, and 120-107, reflecting Klitschko's near-total control of the fight.

Fighting for the first time without his longtime trainer Emanuel Steward, who had passed away on October 25, Klitschko entered the ring with a heavy heart.
