James Toney vs Mike McCallum II

In their second meeting on August 29, 1992, James Toney defended his International Boxing Federation middleweight title against Mike McCallum in Reno, Nevada. The match-up between Toney, a 23-year-old champion with an unbeaten record, and the experienced McCallum, a formidable boxer-puncher and former WBA champion, ended in a majority decision victory for Toney. 

Despite McCallum's boxing prowess and intense performance that showcased his skills, Toney's aggression and precise combinations ultimately swayed the judges, with two scoring the fight significantly in Toney's favour at 117-110 and one judge seeing it as a draw at 114-114.
