Reasoning

If everything goes as it should, this should be a straightforward job for Erdenebat. The Mongolian is a former two-time Olympian and should have way too much boxing ability for the 34-year-old Breedy.

Erdenebat scored a unanimous decision win over ten rounds against former world title challenger Abraham Montoya in his last outing in November, so he has already fought at this level or above.

In Breedy, Erdenbat meets a durable opponent whose only loss came at the hands of his fellow countryman Tugstsogt Nyambayar back in September 2020, and that was on a split decision. Breedy has endured a lot of inactivity in the time since, with only one fight in 2021, which was deemed a no-contest after Sulaiman Segawa was cut from an accidental headbutt. Three low-key wins in 2025 have picked up Breedy’s fortunes, but he now steps onto a much bigger stage against a much higher-quality opponent.

It’s close to six years since Breedy’s close decision loss to Nyambayar, and with not being active in the interim, I cannot see the 34-year-old having the competitive edge to match that of a former two-time Olympian on his way up
