Points Decision

Reasoning

Skye Nicolson gets a homecoming fight of sorts, facing Mariah Turner, nicknamed ‘The Golden Girl’, in a WBC Interim world title fight, which doubles as a stay-busy fight for the 30-year-old Queenslander who’s training base is in England. Turner’s only defeat came at the hands of Ellie Butel, the China-based English girl, back in June 2024, in a 6-rounder. Nicolson herself is not a big puncher, with only three stoppages in 15 wins, and her sole defeat came against Tiara Brown for Nicolson’s WBC featherweight title back in March 2025. Whilst this is a huge opportunity for Turner, Nicholson’s class and experience dwarfs that of the New Zealand-born, Queensland-based challenger. I’m going to go with Nicolson to win a wide points decision.
