Conah Walker vs Sam Eggington

What a great match-up. Unlike many, I actually can’t see anyone getting stopped here. I think Conah Walker is in the richest vein of form of his career, and Eggington is just Eggington. He brings it every single time. The two stoppage defeats on Eggington’s record were to Hassan Mwakinyo and Liam Smith back in 2018 and 2019, respectively, and although he’s had three defeats since then, they’ve all been to top-level performers: Abbas Baraou and Dennis Hogan, and Ted Cheeseman, all on points. As for Walker, you have to go back to the August 2023 shock win over Cyrus Patterson in Birmingham to see a real Rocky story turn around. His June 2024 meeting with Lewis Crocker, the current IBF world heavyweight champion, saw him deemed the loser on points in a fight many onlookers believed he won. He followed that up with a remarkable win over Harry Scarf to win the British and Commonwealth titles, a seventh-round KO of Liam Taylor, and finally that amazing last-round knockout of the fast-rising Pat McCormack.
I think Walker vs Eggington has to be the bloodbath that everyone expects it to be, but I think Walker’s current form means that he can outlast 'The Savage' over the twelve rounds. As a footnote, the only thing that bothers me here is that I’ve seen both suffer from cuts, so hopefully that doesn’t happen here.
